Purgatory Resort provides an outstanding experience fore skiers and snowboarders in the winter and they offer a wide activities in the summer, some of which include the alpine slide, mountain bike rentals, ziplines, trampolines, and rock wall climbing. During the summer months you can throw your mountain bike on the chairlift for an exciting downhill ride back down or just enjoy the scenery with a chairlift ride up and back down.
The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge train is a coal fired, steam powered engine. The railroad from Durango to Silverton was built in order to transport people and supplies to and from Silverton in the mining days. It is now a very popular attraction that draws visitors from all over the world.
